Crowd Factory provides API web services to allowing customers to use either a SOAP or REST client to invoke the operations that support the features of the platform. We have worked with customers having only one development resource, a full IT team, or 3rd party integrators and agencies to implement the platform. Time to launch depends on the scope of the community features desired, agility of the client or agency integration team, and customer decision making. We’ve had large brands launch significant communities within weeks. Most of our customers average around 2-6 months from design to launch.
Does Crowd Factory have solutions such as widgets to get up and running quickly?
Crowd Factory provides customizable templates and widgets for quickly integrating the common features of the API platform including user profiles, comments, ratings, galleries, etc. We also provide hosted admin and moderation applications for managing common functions such as badges, users, content abuse, etc.
What reporting and analytics are included?
Crowd Factory provides several out of the box reports including: Active Users - a tactical view of which users are most active on the site, and what they are doing; Active Content - critical insight into what content is most interesting, and what users are doing with it; Active Boards - an overview which message boards reflect the most activity, and therefore user interest and topic popularity; Community Health - a detailed look at how the community is performing; User Adoption - a look at what features are being adopted by the users on the site. We enable advanced analytics through our Social Insight solution and enable full export of all user data.
What moderation options does Crowd Factory have?
Crowd Factory provides several tools for managing user-created content (assets) and users enabling site administrators and moderators to keep content and users in a community within acceptable behavior limits, as well as to perform many general administrative tasks such as adding and removing users, assigning badges, and reviewing and acting on flagged members, postings, and media content. Crowd Factory also provides a web-based Administrator's Tools.
Is it possible to integrate Crowd Factory with other web platforms like Omniture?
Crowd Factory can be integrated with most platforms that support API integration including Omniture.
Can I integration Crowd Factory’s platform with internal systems such as single sign-on (SSO)?
Crowd Factory has been integrated with existing internal systems through APIs such as user registration and authentication systems of customers without creating a duplicate system for authentication.
Can Crowd Factory build the front end website for us?
Crowd Factory has recommended and partnered with integrators and agencies to deliver complete solutions to clients.
Can I install Crowd Factory’s application on my servers?
At this time, Crowd Factory’s platform is a software as a service on-demand platform only, a framework preferred by our customers.
Who owns the data? Do I have real time access?
All user data is stored on the Crowd Factory platform but is owned by the customer. We do not share data with other customers or 3rd parties. Customers can export their user data at anytime. Crowd Factory can perform data migrations from other platforms.
Does Crowd Factory provide content management capabilities for user generated images, video, audio?
Crowd Factory provides basic image content management but can integrate with most content management systems. As long as content in the other system can be assigned a unique ID, Crowd Factory can store and provide corresponding social content.
